1. Preps for Jan 29 Meeting
- I put the preps first because these steps need to happen regardless of the Jan 29 meeting agenda.
- Flyer
— Where is the money coming from to print 1000 flyers?
— Who is producing the flyer? What is the delivery date of the copies to AUNA?
— Who is on the distribution team? Who is covering what streets?
— When are the walking days?
— Details: return address for label? phone number to go with website?
- Date & Location: Jan 29th, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Visual Studies Workshop (31 Prince St)
— Setup Logistics at Visual Studies
- Plan on a review meeting for one week prior to neighborhood meeting.
2. Agenda for the Jan 29 Meeting (7:00 pm)
- What is the long-term goal of AUNA (or some other name)?
- Bring renters, homeowners and business people together
- Discuss community development, community changes, community concerns.
- List of speakers to brief community members on programs, e.g. PAC-TAC, PTA, Scouts, community youth baseball league
- Elect a slate or rotate duties on a monthly basis. (I say "no". This can be done at another meeting. Most attendees will not have a personal stake in this.)
- Get people to sign up for activities that the speakers talk about
- Two accomplishments by the neighborhood this past year.
— AUNA Bagel Brunches
— organization with neighbor outreach including volunteers to help every other week
— and getting neighbors involved in conversation.
— volunteer bonds & email list.
- Two priorities for the upcoming year
— Start a PAC-TAC patrol.
